Health-Makonge Community Health Centre

The health facility works in partnership with Ministry of health, Buikwe District health Office, Uganda Protestant medical Bureau, Medical Access and Makerere University Walter Reed Project among others.

Makonge Community Health Centre (MCHC) is not for profit (NFP) health Centre III established in 1996 located at Kiyindi landing site, Najja Sub County, Buikwe District. The health Centre provides preventive and curative health care services for communities in Tukulu, Busigazi, Kiyindi, Gulama and other parishes of Najja Sub County and communities in the neighbouring Islands of Buvuma District. Services offered include Immunization, Antenatal care (ANC), Deliveries, Postnatal care (PNC), Adolescent Reproductive Health (ARH),Antiretroviral Therapy (ART), Early Infant Diagnosis (EID), community health education, Laboratory services, male circumcision, family planning and general medical care. Over 25,000 cases are served annually. MCHC was founded by International Needs Uganda (INUG), a charity organization under global partnership of International Needs.

Being NFP health facility serving rural poor communities, the facility often times faces financial shortfalls when donations don’t set in time.
