The School first sat their candidates in 2012 and the performance was as follows.

Year 2013 the School produced the best candidate in the District with aggregate 10 in 8

The School has a well equipped modern science laboratory which meets students’ demands in science.

Buikwe Senior Secondary School is ‘O’  and ‘A’ level Mixed day and Boarding Secondary School located along Lugazi – Kiyindi road 10 km from Lugazi town, 300 metres from  Buikwe town council.

The School began in 2010 as partnership between International Needs Uganda and Buikwe Community aimed at promoting access to quality secondary School to Orphaned and Vulnerable children.

The School is fully registered with the ministry of education and sports No. PPS/B/271 and UNEB centre No. U2879 for both O’ and A’ with a current enrollment of 500 students and 39 teaching and non teaching staff.

In addition, the School offers Vocational skills trainings in tailoring and kneating, Brick laying and concrete practice, Salon and hair dressing, and others such as liquid soap making and candle wax. The School is well equipped with 12 classrooms,  girls and boys dormitory blocks, administration block, DSTV facility, well prepared compound with a conducive reading and learning environment, a modern science laboratory, a modern and well stocked library with internet facilities and clean and safe piped water supply.
